I started this site on October 29th, for Brisa and her friends to keep track of all the interesting things that were going to happen with her career now that she's put out such a grandiose album, so far away overseas.
It's been a pleasure to do this for not only Brisa, but all of you who have visited and subsequently, corresponded. I hope the next year is as good as this last, for everyone.
I'd really appreciate if you'd leave a comment - let all of us know where you live & how you may have stumbled upon this blog; by accident, on purpose or on serious purpose. You can leave an anonymous message, by the by - Whether your name is Viel Glück or Scott, Uncle Steve or not. I'm definitelyy curious - I think Brisa is too.
Best wishes to you and yours,
Mike

Here's the other thing she told me: Blue Note just finished a video for 'Mystery Man' which will include footage from the original recording sessions and I believe, the InRocks live show.
Also, she is REALLY nutty about that Bumcello 'Animal Sophistiqué' album. Seriously, she's obsessed. Good luck finding it in the states, though. I've looked. Thanks for the comments, it's good to see people are reading the blog - otherwise, why bother, right? Brisa is reading them. And who knows? She may answer some.
*Phew* Brisa's just dumped a bunch of new info on me, so I'm going to sift through it as well as I can. So, eat this: she's just recorded "Dans le Vert de ses Yeux" with some hunky French guy named Benjamin Biolay. From what my non-French speaking ass can ascertain, that song's been her big single off the album (she may correct me, if I'm wrong). I don't know who this guy is - maybe they're doing a Serge Gainsbourg/Jane Birkin thing...
Brisa says: "I've begun officially preparing my solo show along with preparing my band.. Gonna have a coupla guitar lessons, even."
Brisa recommends: 'Animal Sophistique' by Bumcello

I've finally gotten my mitts on the cd (thanks B). It's killer. She says that there will be an American release with different tracks. So, try to get one as an import while you can. Can't get a copy domestically?
Find a copy of B's cd on eBay!
