I wrote a long, sappy review for "Takes", but have decided that I'd distill it, to save you all the purple prose (even though she'd wouldn't want me to, bless her). "Takes" sounds as if she's gathered little scraps of paper, covered with notes to herself - having them talk to each other - like two diaries, conversing. The band is amazing. I'm giddy. It's like hearing "Norwegian Wood" for the first time, over and over. Repeat. Repeat!

Big Announcement

Brisa's new album "Takes" will be released on Capitol Records, May 21st! I haven't seen any pre-sale info or anything of the sort...but...finally, you can hear a couple of tracks on her myspace page!
